This year the Delhi Unified School District officially launched our partnership with SEAL Sobrato to amplify the outcomes for all elementary students, starting with grades TK - 2. This collaboration is a game-changer for our community, setting a foundation for our students to thrive in an increasingly global society.
What makes this partnership more special is that Delhi USD is the only district in Merced County implementing the SEAL (Sobrato Early Academic Language) program—a research-based model designed to develop the academic language, literacy, and cognitive skills of all our students, particularly our English Learners.
This milestone wouldn’t be possible without the incredible dedication and passion of our board of trustees, our educators, staff, and leadership team. Their unwavering commitment to our students’ success is truly inspiring. I am deeply grateful for the workforce that has embraced this vision and is working tirelessly to bring it to life.
Feel free to access the recent news coverage by Telemundo (Este distrito escolar al centro de California enseñará inglés y español a sus estudiantes) that highlights this great work taking place at all our elementary sites.
As we continue to lead the way in innovative and inclusive education, I am confident that the opportunities we are collaboratively orchestrating for our students and families will open new doors of opportunity for all and enrich our entire community.
